Policies
Please see the policies below around expectations once we establish a working relationship. You will receive a contract to sign the first time you book services. However, you won't need to sign a new agreement every time that you book going forward.
Health & Safety
It is very important and necessary for me to reduce exposure to illness and COVID especially. I will always be masked in an N95 during any in-person meet & greets. I will also bring a portable HEPA filter with me for overnight care. I am happy to test if that is your preference. For the record, I am keeping up with the news on the evolution of Bird Flu now that it's been confirmed that pets can be impacted. I expect that you will permit me to mask for in-person meetings as well as use HEPA filter in your home while providing overnight care.
Keys - Access
Please make sure that I have a way to access the premises, whether that be a key left in a lockbox, an passcode assigned to me, an envelope at the front desk concierge, a spare key swap prior to your trip etc. If I am required to make an additional trip to pick up or drop off your keys, I will charge a $20 fee/per trip.
Payments
Accepted payment methods include cash, credit card or other electronic payment. Payment is required in full once your booking is confirmed. If an invoice is issued, the Client agrees to pay the invoice(s) by the due date(s) specified. Unpaid or overdue invoices may result in booking cancellation. I accept Visa, Discover, Amex, Diner’s Club, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Refunds
If a booking needs to be cancelled by the client for personal reasons, the Client must cancel no later than 7 days prior to the start of the the booking. If the booking is cancelled later, refunds will be approved at the discretion of the Business. If the booking is cancelled by the Business for any reason unrelated to a change with client, a full refund will be issued.
Damages
If your pet damages property of the sitter, you agree to make a reasonable effort to compensate for the value of the damaged item. If the sitter damages property on the premises, the same remedy applies.
Emergencies
You authorize the sitter to connect with your veterinarian in the event that there is an emergency and you are unavailable. If the sitter is required to pay a vet bill on your behalf, you will reimburse the sitter for any amounts paid. The sitter will be sure to communicate with you in the event of an emergency and follow the guidance given on your preferences for how to handle the situation. You agree to provide an emergency contact for someone who can take over it necessary, in addition to your vet's information.
Timing of Care
Meet & greets, daily drop-ins and dog walking services will be scheduled in 30 minute or 1 hour increments as needed. For in-home boarding, I can be available until 10am the morning following the last night booked. If services are required beyond this time, hourly rates will be applied accordingly thereafter.
Training
Please be transparent and as detailed as possible about any aggression or risky behaviors your pet has exhibited in the past. If you don’t have a yard or secure space for dog training, I may need to reserve a space for private sessions. You will be invoiced before training starts for the duration of the number of sessions included in your plan. If you need to reschedule a session, you will receive a credit for the missed session to use in the future. In the event that we need to end training early, refunds will be issued at the discretion of the business. For example, bite situations will almost always result in the termination of services.
Use of Media
Unless otherwise specified in writing, you consent to the use of photo and videos of your pet on my social media account such as Instagram or my business website. I may also record training sessions for educational purposes and to document progress reports as your dog moves through the training program.
